It’s been a busy 3 months for Southport Homewatch Association:
In October we started our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/SouthportHomewatch
We have been sharing posts here from relevant organisations such as the Police, Neighbourhood Watch and Action Fraud. We will also post Southport Homewatch Association news here.
Lockdown has made it difficult for us to undertake our usual activities… visiting new Scheme Leaders, distributing newsletters and organising the twice yearly public meetings. However, we have taken the opportunity to review our processes and have some exciting plans for the future…
Reaching out to Scheme Leaders…
We have a membership of over 400 Scheme Leaders. Some of our Scheme Leaders have been running their schemes, supporting a total of over 11,000 residents, for 20 years or more. We want to make contact with all of our Leaders, verify that our contact details are correct and offer any support we can to help them with their schemes.
Electronic communications and social media:
We will be offering electronic communications, to those who want it, and increasing our exposure via social media. This Facebook page is the first step in that strategy.
Southport Homewatch Association website:
We are in the final stages of developing a website for Southport Homewatch Association. (This site...) This will provide information about: who we are; setting up a Homewatch group; news posts and links to related sites and other useful resources. It will allow people to contact us directly and, most importantly, will allow us to be found by people searching on Google.
Keep watching for further posts…
